Providing Evidence-based Insights for Debates on China

SCCEI China Briefs are a product of the Stanford Center on China's Economy and Institutions (SCCEI), Stanford’s home for empirical, multidisciplinary research on China’s economy.

SCCEI China Briefs highlight the best and most recent data-driven research from academia on China and the U.S.-China relationship. The briefs are released twice per month.

A committee of empirical researchers reviews all candidate papers for the brief series. Authors of each paper approve the summaries before publication.
